Immigration Enforcement and Raids:
Focus Areas
Immigration Enforcement and Raids
The National Immigration Project provides cutting-edge legal strategies to legal advocates and attorneys working in the specialized area of immigration enforcement and raids. In collaboration with other organizations, the Project develops critical educational materials for communities affected by raids and immigration detention, including vital “Know Your Rights” materials, published in multiple languages.
Gangs and Noncitizens
The National Immigration Project provides resources to advocates working with clients who face deportation as a result of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) policy of targeting suspected gang members in the United States for deportation to their countries of origin. These resources also support advocates who work with clients seeking asylum, withholding of removal, and relief under the UN Convention Against Torture (CAT), due to gang-related persecution (by foreign government or by gangs).
